La Planque Hotel
Come live a parenthesis, a retreat, a break....
La Planque is not a hotel. It's a guest house, a boarding house. It was thought to live a parenthesis, a retreat, a break....
Nestled near the avenue Parmentier, the DESJEUX DELAYE agency has completely redesigned this building. It can now accommodate 36 couples looking for a charming and secret Paris. Because here, we pass the door, knowing we can relax around a coffee or for the night.
From the lobby, the tone is given. A place where chic and cozy meet in a very familiar way.
An oversized beef eye turns its back on the former candy bar, turned into a reception desk. 2 imposing stilted mirrors dominate the weathered walls.
They enhance with their elaborate and timeless lines the atmosphere of a house with already many lives.
You can find the hideout of La Planque behind, under the glass roof, where you will also find a large old library with beautiful squares crows reminiscent of old bookstores. Hidden objects saturate the storage and make us believe that yes, we are in the house of a host attached to pretty things and memories.
Between the zinc arbor and the guingland garlands
It overlooks a beautiful old pink patio floor blue night and whose plants in a rush jostle in pots none of which are alike.
Between the zinc arbor and the guingland garlands, you can also take a seat in this small outdoor winter garden.
Here the colors of the walls are clear and pale. One wonders to what extent the interior and exterior are not associated.
Dark colors are also present: blue basements, purple velvet benches and brown oak bookcase.
The rooms are the reflect of the lobby: 3 themes of rooms are proposed.
We enter, the sole received by the fleece of a carpet with large graphic shapes, none of which are alike.
The headboards are a set of ovals compiled horizontally and crossed by the iconic lamp of the hotel seen on the ground floor. Her name is "L'Hypocrite" because it was drew by Daphné Desjeux and Dorothée Delaye; they amused themselves by giving names of ugly faults to these pretty luminaries. They do not like to take themselves too seriously.
The closet marries the corners of the walls. It is lined with textured wallpaper that reminds of woven and whitened rattan.
He responds in form and color to the office. A half round in the same material and resting, as in balance, on a white marble desk and foot oval monopod in black metal.
It is lit by a globe that seems to be older than us. It allows us to see clearly and to dial a number from the wall phone which also reminds us of a bygone era.
Three themes: gray and dark orange, night gray and khaki, kamel and green pine tree.
In the heart of the Belleville district
Here, there will be generations who feel the need to reconcile supposed contraries : chic and popular, individualism and altruism, comfortable and authentic. We hope that in La Planque, they will find a good shelter.
